[12] 영어성경공부 - 창세기 9장 11-13절 (무지개 언약)

[성경 본문]

 

창9:11

I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be cut off by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.'

내가 너희와 언약을 세우리니 다시는 모든 생물을 홍수로 멸하지 아니할 것이라 땅을 멸할 홍수가 다시 있지 아니하리라

 

창9:12

And God said, 'This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:

하나님이 이르시되 내가 나와 너희와 및 너희와 함께 하는 모든 생물 사이에 대대로 영원히 세우는 언약의 증거는 이것이니라

 

창9:13

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

내가 내 무지개를 구름 속에 두었나니 이것이 나와 세상 사이의 언약의 증거니라

나 세운다    나의 언약          ~와 너희

 

Never            again will            all life     be cut off by the waters of a flood;

절대로 아니다  다시  ~할 것이다 모든 생명  끊어버리다 ~의해  그 홍수

 

never            again will          there be a flood to destroy the earth.

절대로 아니다 다시  ~일 것이다    있다      홍수       멸할            그  땅

 

never를 먼저 위치시켜 강조하고 있음을 확인할 수 있습니다. (도치 부분)

 

창9:12

And God said,

그리고 하나님 말씀하셨다

 

This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you

이것 이다 그 표징 ~의 그 언약        내가 만들고 있다  ~사이에 나  와  너희 그리고 모든 살아 있는 생명체  ~와  너희

the covenant I am making은 the covenant that I am making으로 that이 생략된 목적격 관계대명사입니다. 그래서 내가 만들고(세우고) 있는 언약으로 해석하시면 됩니다. 그리고 make는 만들다로 해석되지만 여기에서는 적절하게 언약을 만든다 즉 언약을 세우다로 해석하여 이해하시면 됩니다.

 

a covenant for all generations to come:

한 언약       ~위한 모든 세대들       다가올

 

창9:13

I have set my rainbow in the clouds,

나 두었다   나의 무지개  ~안 그   구름들

have set 현재완료로 사용되었습니다.

 

and        it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.

그리고 그것 ~일 것이다 그 표징 ~의 그 언약      ~사이         나  와   그    땅
